Search and Rescue
I became involved in voluntary Search and Rescue in the late 1960's and spent in excess of 25 years responding to the late night calls to search for the missing and injured in both mountain and urban locations.
After 25 years service I was awarded the mountain Rescue Council of England Long Service Award.
I also received the Queens Jubilee Medal awarded to members of the Emergency Services.
